You are the Spectacle is my interpretation and challenge of Guy Debord's theory of representation vs real life. Participating in this site specific piece isolates and places you at the center of attention in Orange Coast College's outdoor theater. As you enter the sculpture, you are visually submerged in the Spectacle. You become a part of the sculpture as well as the center of attention. Any interaction with this tool becomes part of the noise proving Debord's theory.
